Eternity May Be Just Around the Corner

Are you living for today and planning for the future? How are you living and planning? Are you planning for this life or the next life? We do not know when our last day is going to be. Only God knows, and if God gives us another day, that means we have another day of mission to fulfill. It is a gift to be able to have another opportunity to work towards our final destination. Don’t waste time on frivolous things that don’t help you or others reach that final destination with grace, but on the things that will get you to heaven. If there is someone that you need to forgive, do it. If there is something you should get done, don’t wait. If there is someone you need to talk to but have been hesitant to do so, talk! This is the time…today! We are only here for a short time and then it is eternity…that means forever!!

The things that we need to do can be challenging and make us anxious and this can cause us to put them aside. Just ask Jesus to help you. He will! Maybe the prayer can be simply to help resolve the situation, and it will happen-all in God’s perfect timing. Praying IS helping that forgiveness that needs to happen or that relationship that needs to be healed. Maybe you need courage to go out and face the world, or courage to change your heart to be a better person. Don’t wait to ask our Lord for that courage or change that you need. He will help you all the way! Speak to your guardian angel and the Blessed Mother, they will pray for you and lead you to Jesus. When you wake up in the morning, offer your day up to God and ask how He may use you today. Say to Him, “Lord, give me today what I need for today.”

Pray the Morning Offering prayer: O Jesus, through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I offer You my prayers, works, joys and sufferings of this day for all the intentions of your Sacred Heart. In union with the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass throughout the world, in reparation for my sins, for the needs of all my family and friends, and in particular, for the intentions of the Holy Father. I wish to gain all the indulgences attached to the prayers I shall say and to the good works I shall do this day. Amen.

Eternity may be just around the corner. What are you waiting for?
