You are never alone. These are the words I heard at Mass from the priest on the Feast of the Guardian Angels, October 2. He went on to say that our Guardian Angels are with us every moment of our lives, and that they never leave our sides, especially through difficult times. At consecration, the most important part of the Mass, the priest knelt at the altar and we meditated in prayer asking God for the grace to feel the presence of our Guardian Angel, and he repeated the words, “You are never alone. You are never alone. You are never alone.” From the sounds of sniffles from the pews I realized I wasn’t the only one feeling the power of these words. I felt the presence of Jesus and His angels all around, and the feeling of loneliness and the hardships in my life melt of way.

If only more individuals would believe this in our world of loneliness. The digital age has helped us to connect with more people in unbelievable ways, but it also has caused us to be more isolated and less social due to the fact that we don’t have to get out and actual be with people. We are more alone than ever. Teenagers are taking their own lives like never before. Our elderly are In need of someone to visit them. We need each other!

To those lonely people out there I say this, “Ask God for the grace to feel the presence of your Guardian Angel in your life. Talk to your Angel often and thank your angel for always being there for you.“

Repeat this often: You are never alone, you are never alone, you are never alone. Then put a smile on your face and know that God loves you so much that He gives each of us a companion to help us get through life. He does not abandon us. We just need to remember to ask for help. Ask your angel today to help you. You are never alone.
